a city's New Year's Eve countdown on our LED dance floor

NEW YEAR'S EVE AT FESTIVAL PARK — FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA

On December 31, 2025, downtown Fayetteville, North Carolina rang in the new year at Festival Park — the city's outdoor amphitheater, under the big "America's Can Do City" arch. The downtown district's organizers wanted the public celebration to have a real dance floor in front of the concert stage, outdoors, in December, until well past midnight. That's exactly the kind of ask we say yes to.

The build: A 20ft x 20ft LED dance floor set on the plaza in front of the amphitheater stage. Outdoors in winter, the floor earns its keep twice — it's the dance surface and it's the light show, cycling colors through the night while the stage ran live performances above it.

The 15-hour shift: A municipal New Year's Eve doesn't fit a normal rental window. Our crew was on site from 10am on the 31st for load-in and stayed through the countdown, with the event running until 1am on New Year's Day before breakdown began. Mirror-suited dancers worked the floor, fake snow blew over the crowd, and at midnight the floor was the brightest thing in downtown Fayetteville.
